Q: Wait for 2011 Ford ranger or buy one now?
I guess 2010 rangers were made 1-2 years ago. I want a brand new truck not made long ago to avoid rusty parts, would waiting for 2011 ranger be wiser??? Thanks
A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here - carquotes.sinfree.net
Q: New Ford Ranger Price Haggling?
I'm very interested in a brand new 2010 Ford Ranger Sport. MSRP of $22,155.00 and total MSRP after all the add-ons of $24,110.00. I have to add Tax on to that as well, of 9.75%. This is the first time I'm buying a new vehicle, and my dad say I should go in and say I want it for $21,000.00 out the door, and watch them sweat. Is that ridiculous and will they just laugh at me? Or in Southern California right now with the recession and auto sales where they are, and since they 2011's are soon to be out, is that a reasonable offer? I can definitely afford more than that, but I have no idea how to haggle down a car.
Thanks, any input on pricing would be appreciated!

A: Your Dad is right on the money. You may not be able to buy it for that, but its a good opening offer. Don't get in a hurry and if they start pressuring you head for the door.
Q: Is Ford planning to release an F-100 in 2011 or 2012?
To like replace the Ranger or something?
A: They were talking about it few years ago. But I don't think anything ever came of it. Which is unfortunate because the Ranger is in desperate need of a redesign.
Q: Are cars expanding due to our waistlines?
It seems that cars are always getting bigger.
For example, today when I was driving in my 1992 Honda Accord and I parked next to a new Honda Civic, I noticed that they are pretty much the same size, however, they are both classified as different "sizes" according to their manufacturer. It's ridiculous.
"Compact trucks" don't really exist anymore, except for the Ford Ranger and Mazda B Series, but they are going to end those in 2011 apparently.
Are cars getting bigger due to Americans becoming bigger?
A: Americans supposedly prefer larger cars, so cars in America are getting bigger. Go to Europe - you'll see a lot more small cars (e.g. Smart car)
Although I'll admit the correlation between car size and waistline is uncanny...and kind of scary.
